Jain Temple, Ranakpur
Ranakpur Jain Temple is very beautiful, carved idol of Parshwanatha made out of single marble slab. Idol has 1008 snake heads and numerous tails. This Temple is dedicated to the first Tirthankara of Jainism, Lord Rishabhadeva or Adinath. Temple is an excellent work of Architecture. It is constructed of light colored marble. It has 29 halls and 80 Domes supported by 400 columns. It has 1444 pillars. All pillars are intricately carved and they are all unique in design, none like other.
